The Change Challenge

Postby Tina Christophillis » Thu May 06, 2010 2:53 am

This is the official elfpath, "Change Challenge"

most of us aren't happy with who we are at the moment, so the best way to move through that, is to change. If we change little things about our lives, all the time and convince our subconscious that change is ok, then we'll make bigger changes towards being who we really are.

so.... ready, set, CHANGE!

"today i changed x. picture evidence here."

Changes to be made:

Tato: shoes. get something flashy. bright colours. Put some colors in your shoes. Red heels then, of course. red sneakers. dont care if you take a paint brush to some ratty old ones to make it so. get a pair of red shoes, and wear bright colours.

oooh, tato is going to be tha bomb!

Luufie: change hair. put some scissors to it.

Jacob: change your room. put all the clutter in a big trashbag and stuff it under your bed. lots of empty spaces, whites. whatever clutter you want back after 2 weeks, put it back. whatever you didnt miss, toss.

Kaiki: wear make-up. eyeshadow in pretty colours, some rouge, mascara, maybe some pretty necklace type things.

Tina: physical exercise, running, yoga

Mari: sit and make up stories. maybe write them down, but imagine random things, go wild.

Luna: say no to someone, anyone, at least 5 times a day. and not little wimpy things, luna.

Enelya: smoke pot

Mel: start dancing. silly dances, in front of the mirror, every morning. at least 10 minutes, dont care if to music or not, but shake it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEyRg5mX ... 1&index=75

Nam: watch some movies you'd never ever consider watching. cheesy chickflicks or terribly horror movies

Yvonne: gets to talk to a child every day. someone under 10. preferably under 5. if you really cant find one, make one up and have at least a 10 min convo with them about something that excites them. different kid, yes.

Nightfall: she gets to lounge in a bath/shower for an hour each day and pamper herself crazy, no thinking allowed. soft furry towels and lotions and soft music and backrubs.

Rohaa: talk to at least one random stranger a day. and not just hi. intense more than 10 min convo talk.

Epic: gets to have a conversation a day in which he doesnt make any jokes or tries to laugh/be funny/mongoose/be cute.

Katt: Sing. in private in your own room if nothing else. but try for public.

Agna: wear silly hats

Rohaa says, "nothing says you cant do all of the above, everyone. just do your own, also"

change, have fun, be yourself!

it doesn't have to be so serious... start with the little things and work your way up!

let's see what we all got. post daily. we want pics, proof, and remnants of your fun!!!
;)

Rohaa says about change: “and now the world needs even more ppl to quit being OP and to actually go make this place worth living. which starts with making your own life worth living. which starts with finding out who you are, so you can go be that. sure, its scary if you have to change from OP to IP. but that's something we're all working on, and we can help each other through it. what helps if you're stuck not wanting to change is to change on purpose. to grab every little detail in your life and change it, no matter if it's good or bad or ... If it can be changed, change it. change your route to school. change your normal breakfast. go to bed an hour later or earlier. wear radically different clothes. listen to a style of music you've never even considered. change everything. what you're doing is training yourself to allow change, to convince your subc that change = ok. you're getting yourself out of the rut and peeling your cramped fingers off that routine you're in. little bits at a time. it's all the little things. the wallpaper on your computer. those silly socks you like. especially the things that make you go "oh i cant change that, ive had it that way for years!" exactly. change it. about time. and you'll find it gets easier. then when life throws change at you, you'll shrug and say "oh, well, bit more change. no problem. im good at this". and if someone challenges you, do it. (or admit to being a wimp :)) we can make this a group exercise. every day, challenge someone else to change x. dont care what x is, can be any little thing. simple motto: everything that can be changed should be changed. imagine doing this exercise for a few weeks. you're taking different routes through town every day, finding places you had no idea were there. you've changed your diet (and changed it again), your clothes, tried new hobbies.... and suddenly your intuition says "you're not an accountant, you're a circus director!" what do you do?

You become a circus director!

It's quite hard to take a picture of yourself dancing in the mirror.

Not quite sure how I'd have images of saying "no" to people... but do have 2 already.

Yesterday: Told dad I wasn't going to his house that day. Was kind of OP about it, so still needs work saying "no" to him. Also, he was pretty pissed off about it, but didn't actually say anything to that effect.

Today: Told boss I wasn't coming in to work. Still getting over a cold and when I thought about going there (possibly combined with the smell of whatever my grandmother was burning downstairs) yielded a gutclench bad enough that I was glad I hadn't eaten anything yet. Gutclench also pinged off of throat making breathing not so easy.

I suppose I'll need to work up to the 5. Finding even 1 big one a day feels tricky now.

Hair Cut Challenge complete: I also went ahead and turned it back to slightly original hair color, with bleach highlights on the sides and top.

Good show, everyone, you're doing awesome : )

Instead of just biking through a shopping area like I always do, I stopped when the intuition said to, and went into the store I happened to be right outside of. I talked for about half an hour to the woman who sold me two lovely serpent earrings, she had a lot of personal problems and was worried about her teen daughter who had been very sick and had difficulty recovering. Gave them my card.

Feel free to give each other new challenges if you feel you've really done them for a while and you're over the "oh this is scary / new" factor. I'd be happy to help if you can't think of anything.

Yesterday I saw someone I know with his grandson of about 2 years old. I walked to him and said hi. I asked him to give me a hand and he did! Than grandfather took him away. I had a little chat. Not the chat of 10 minutes, but a little chat. :)

Don't be afraid of change! Change is the only thing that is constant in life. Look at the leaves of a tree. Are they always in the same place? I don't think so. The wind moves them all the time. So be like the leaves and let the wind take you wherever it takes you. No fear, just a challenging road to take. A road of change and a better world to live in.

I like quotes. So I searched some of them about change. I hope one of these quotes make sense to you and will make you realise that change is the only way.

Don't fear change, embrace it. -Anthony J. D'Angelo, The College Blue Book -

Only in growth, reform, and change, paradoxically enough, is true security to be found. - Anne Morrow Lindbergh -

Nothing endures but change. - Heraclitus -

Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. - Tolstoy -

Become a student of change. It is the only thing that will remain constant. - Anthony J. D'Angelo, The College Blue Book -

You must be the change you wish to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi -

When you blame others, you give up your power to change. - Dr. Robert Anthony -

Dream the dreams that have never been dreamt. - David Bower -
- Don’t think, just feel and you know.
- Look, don't judge, and you will see.

Today morning I woke up gathered memories from yesterday evening and... Holly Crap was that me who did that all crazy things? O.o

From begining... I wore elegant and a little bit sexy clothes I usually use for official parties and went for my bf bday party. It appeared that everybody had simillar clothes so I felt comfortable. I spend hal of night as if I was always wearing clothes like that. What's more I started to talk about Elfpath to some people who appeared to have something in common with energy work. It was so natural...

and in the morning I couldn't believe that I did it XD
