I got some grocery shopping done - splurged and bought myself sugar cubes for teatime!

It's very sunny outside, and I slept very well after some massive energy work last night! Yay!

Also, I woke up to find our forums happily buzzing along. This makes me happy!

I went to the children's museum and had a great time playing with my little one. Then we went shopping at the Japanese market and bought bean threads and a whole lot of asian sauces!

mmmmm! I love to go to the Oriental food stores around here, but I dont know half of what the food is! I get fresh vegetables I recognise, and sometimes some I don't, though I have to guess at how to prepare them. They have so many different kinds of noodles it boggles the mind! And I love bean threads, and those hot chile sauces! Another of our favorite things are those shrimp flavored chips. I think most of the Asian food stores in my area are run by Vietnamese, so they carry the types of foods that they are familiar with. Theres so much stuff I'd like to try, but I can't read most of the labels and I sure wouldnt know how to prepare it. At the back of the store I go to most often, there is a deli-type area where they offer hot plates of whatever dishes they've got cooked, and most of the food is interesting and tasty-looking, but I haven't gotten the courage to try any yet, especially since I know they sell frozen Madagascar--roaches I guess they are, thats what they look like so since I dont know whats really in those dishes...

Google the ingredients you're interested in to find recipes for them. That's where I learn a lot about stuff. I like almost all asian cuisines, though I'm particularly fond of Japanese. And not just for the sushi, either - though I'm sure not turning it down!

My two little sage plants who looked for weeks like they were going to die of mildew have gotten over the sickness, and are beginning to sprout tiny little new shoots on every branch. They are going to make it!

I got 6 bags of groceries (all yummy snackies, plus organic milk) for less than $13! Yay, me!

i figured out theres always something good that comes from a downfall. yay
