Scanning: holy shit it actually works

Postby Melanie » Sun Feb 07, 2010 11:04 pm

Today instead of class we did some scanning practice. We did the scanning class last week so needless to say we didn't have much practice yet and were both not really expecting to get anything out of it that made sense.

Rohaa gave us a name we'd never heard before, told us to scan it. Talk about getting pushed into the deep end.
At first I thought it was a girl's name, but Rohaa corrected us.

I got a lot of blue and 5th chakra activity, and a general feeling of sadness and resignation, but I couldn't really place it. When I scan without going very deep, it's all just energy feelings and the idea of emotions.
So Rohaa told us to go into Alpha and see if we could get some images.

I got a POV-shot of him looking at the forest floor with some grass and a bunch of leaves there. His hands were on the floor. Looking up through the trees, the trees just go on for a little while in all directions but after a while they just stop and everything behind them is white. Not particularly bright or light-like, just blank, like it hasn't been filled in yet - there's just absolutely nothing there. Looking up, just a grey overcast sky (that also fades into white after a certain distance).
I zoomed out to get a sense of the whiteness and it's just him sitting in the little clearing, surrounded by a bunch of trees and the whole rest of the world is white.
I zoom back in and I get a quick images of him sitting and screaming at the sky - though that might have been because it's such a common image in movies :) At least that's what I thought.

Then the scene changes and he's in a boat in the middle of the ocean. Just a small boat, one mast, one sail, the kind you steer with a rudder instead of a wheel. There's no land in sight. It's night, but the sun is shining ( I thought he might be lost since this means there's no stars to navigate by).
Rohaa asked if he was going anywhere, or away from anywhere, but since there is no land I didn't think so - but the sail is out and there's wind in it and I got the feeling that he's going somewhere regardless. He was checking his watch occasionally, like he was in a hurry or worried he wasn't gonna make it in time.
I checked around the boat - looked along the bow, checked behind etc for land or a destination or point of origin but couldn't find anything.
I checked in the boat to see if he had any luggage or if there were any weird alpha clues in there but couldn't find anything. Then I looked over the edge of the boat, into the water, and saw we were floating over some ruins.

I tried to scan him for relationships or something since so far he's been alone in all of the images, but I couldn't get a fix on it.

So that's all I got.

It turns out this man just found out he only has about three months left to live.
When I got the 5th chakra blue stuff, he was at that moment on the phone to tell his brother.
He's pretty upset about it, naturally.

The imagery would translate as...
The forest bit: no escape - only a small bit of world left for him, it all seems bland.
The boat: the same general idea, lost at sea, adrift, the "real world" (ruins of a city etc) out of reach beneath the water. Time being an important factor, hence the watch. But he was going somewhere, and he was determined to get there. Rohaa said that was probably his higher self or his spirit or something in him that's above the shock of finding out he's dying and knows where it's going and is fine with that.

As Rohaa explained who this person was, I just started crying like I knew him, or maybe like I'd just gotten the news I was going to die -- GCB got rid of that, but it was really strange.

Before this, I took all my scans with about half a gallon of salt. Especially the fact that mine and Mari's scan were so similar in essence made it stand out that, yeah, this isn't just the subconcious regurgitating random images.

I scanned this man at the same time as Mel was scanning him, and the first thing I got was a sense of blue and anxiety. I attributed the blue to his blue chakra, so I mentioned he might be having a conversation and whatever it's about is upsetting him.

When we were asked to go deeper, my imagery was as follows:
First, I got a HUGE flower, blooming right in my face, but I have no idea what that was doing there. Perhaps I accidentally picked up on someone else, or my subconscious was giving me images I couldn't do anything with.

So I tried again. This time, I was on a forest path, walled in by earth and vegetation and trees forming a roof over my head. I was walking straight ahead, the only way I could go, and the end of the path was dark - the type of darkness you see when there's a darker patch of forest ahead of you. Except I couldn't see anything in it.
I wasn't getting any closer to it, either, even though I was walking.
Rohaa suggested I should either make him look back, or perch on his shoulder to be able to look around more, myself.
I turned myself into a crow (there were crows flying past him, into the dark spot, so I tried to fit in) and sat on his shoulder. When I looked behind him (he refused to look) I saw bright light. Sunlight, piercing through the leafy roof, very far behind us, and beyond that it was so bright I couldn't see what was there, the same as with the darkness.

I tried to get a look of his face but got nothing. From his movements he seemed very determined. Nervous, maybe, about where he was going, but he was going anyway because it seemed right for some reason. Nothing was going to stop it.

And indeed, Rohaa then told us that when I mentioned the blue chakra, he was talking to his brother on the phone about just having discovered he is going to die in about three months. It's inevitable and he knows that, and I think somehow he is at peace with it (the determination - "the right thing to do" suggests that).

Obviously, my images are very much related to Mel's and I was actually disregarding hers completely while we were scanning, forcing myself to call them "bullshit" in my mind so that I would not be influenced by her imagery.
I got this despite all that.

Holy crap, it works.

It was really wonderful to see you both scan this name that you have no previous knowledge about whatsoever, with so little experience in scanning, and getting such similar and accurate results. I love seeing from other people's results that what we teach here really works, and so quickly and easily.

It goes to show that when we use our intuition and really SCAN, we all scan the same underlying energies and patterns, and we get consistent and reliable results. The only difference is how our brains translate that information back to us.

Especially beautiful that you could both sense that this one was so determined to go forward on his path, hurried even, as if he wanted to go somewhere. Death isn't a big scary thing that we need to fear and mourn, even in one who is still relatively young in years. It is, on a higher level, something we choose, and this life is only one stage in our journey to explore and grow. The man you scanned seems to feel like he has something very important to do elsewhere, and while his human unaware self is a little anxious about the process of leaving this life, for him it's the right thing to do.

until you can imagine it for yourself,
and allow yourself to have it.
