I've watched The Matrix trilogy again today. The movies were good when I first saw them and are getting better ever since. Every time I watch them new layers of meaning seem to appear. To me, Plato's allegory of the cave is only a starting point for trying to understand them.

This time watching them I felt a warm feeling in my stomach, like when I'm feeling "connected" but not as strong. I'm not sure where it came from, since I don't think I've gotten to their "real" meaning yet.

Now I'm left with many new questions regarding the movies. This time I paid extra attention to the numbers that are seen or mentioned in them and I'm still wondering what they mean and if they were intended to mean something beyond their face value.

For example, the Architect tells Neo that when Zion was destroyed by the ones before him, it was each time repopulated with 23 persons, 16 female and 7 male. What is this about? Does it mean anything? Speaking of Zion, why did they give the city this name? To me this name has very strong political connotations.

Then there's room number 303 that I've seen a few times. Is there a meaning behind this?

An often discussed number in the movie is the expiration date of Neo's passport; 9/11/2001. Note that the first movie was released in 1999, two years before the 9/11 that has been etched into everyone's memory. Now we're getting into the realm of conspiracies, but since I do not believe in coincidence I need another explanation for it. I won't go as far as to say that the so-called Illuminati give us clues to their plans, but it is certainly something that I have considered.

33 is a master number. the 33 lacks all personal ambition, and instead focuses its considerable abilities toward the spiritual uplifting of mankind.

This week I watched the episode of Conspiracy Theory about the Bilderberg group. There it was said that they are not the top of the Illuminati but that they are subordinate to a committee of 7 men. This could be the 7 men mentioned in The Matrix. I still have no clue about the 16 women.

I did not think of the Protocols, but I'm pretty sure those are a forgery. Besides I'm not convinced that the Illuminati are a Jewish organisation. I don't know what their plans are but I am pretty sure race or stuff like that has very little to do with it. Supposedly they are have been trying to dominate the world for centuries of even millennia. I have a very hard time believing any group of humans could actively accomplish such a thing. Most family businesses do not last longer than a few decades.

As for getting lost in the occult; I don't think that will be a problem as I am quite at home there. Not to say that I am a practising magician or anything, but I am very interested in all kinds of occult or esoteric knowledge.

I assume those others are movies/documentaries too? I'll do a search fo them.

I've never seen Metroplis, but I do know the poster. It's one of the only film posters I recognize, which is kind of bizarre given the movie is so old. People nowadays still have it on their walls. The movie must be something.

EDIT TO ADD: Just watched the documentary "explaining" The Matrix. I found it very disappointing; it was just promoting artificial intelligence and neuroscience. (I think both fields operate on wrong assumptions.) Are you sure this is the right documentary? I'm confused, as the story on that page talks about religious influences and Bible verses and stuff like that, but nothing of the sort is seen in the movie.

Sorry for that. I had not seen the movie, but I was pretty sure it was about the occult symbolism behind the movie, sorry for the mislink, as it was obviously not.

At the moment I am quite thinking I have it all figured out concerning the Illuminati, allthough that is what I think after every bit of new information and so.

I am somewhat familiar with the Law of One and the Ra material, if only through the works of David Wilcock. He has been interviewed a few times by Project Camelot.

Props to you if you've figured out the whole Illuminati conspiracy! I would really like to read a well-done (scientific) study of the subject. Are you going to publish your findings?

At the moment I still don't know what to think of it. Rationally speaking it is almost absurd that an organisation hell-bent for world-domination could exist, more or less hidden from public scrutiny, for centuries or even millennia. On the other hand I do feel that there is more truth to the matter than is generally assumed, whatever that truth may be.
