MMORPG?

Postby ItsaMystery » Thu May 20, 2010 6:20 am

I'm wanting to get into a Fantasy MMO/RPG. I'm looking for something that doesn't have a monthly fee (and another plus if it's completely free).

Any suggestions? :)

Did you look into Aion? Not free, you need to buy the game, but it's got some remarkable meta-relevance in its storyline.

Dungeons and Dragons Online is also free to play nowadays. Though you can pay for getting stuff faster and some extras, from what limited knowledge I have it is perfectly playable for free.

Runescape? EnelyaEP, add me as a friend should you choose to play the game. These things work better if you can team up :).
May the Force be with you.

I tried WoW for years, mostly for it's visual and linguistic components. It's remarkable, but very NOT ELFpath. Likewise Aion. Interesting (tho more poorly written). Adds the ability to fly at an early level. But the energy of it runs very counter to ELFpath energies. I've tried half-dozen other MMORPGs, but have yet to find something that SCANs.

Long term, I'd like to see someone (maybe some of y'all) build an MMO that's not only energetically in line with EP, but which allows growth/progress in-game as you are developing real meta- skills in the physical world. Like your character learning a "ground" skill that cuts down energy or magical damage by grounding it so it doesn't hurt you.

Not sure how this would work, but it could be an amazing teaching tool. If it's enough fun, it would make EP easier for everyone.
