Elfpath offers a large series of extra-curricular courses that you can take to spice up your regular program. There will be times when the regular curriculum focusses a lot on inner work and learning new skills. At such times, or when you are in between courses, you may enjoy a change of pace and a little side-step to a very different topic.

Minors are entirely optional and just meant for fun and exploration. You do not need them to go through your own process, or to reach any belt level. You will get an e-certificate afterwards.

The Meta-Intuitive Arts are not a stand-alone area. Although both science and religion over the ages have generally refused to get involved in each other's areas, we will not follow their example. As we explain in our magik section, the meta- itself can be seen as a technology, a science in its infancy. And by using our natural intuition, we move into areas that have long been the sole territory of religion and mystics. These are not different things.

The meta- cannot be placed in a box and kept separate from other areas of life. Our intuition offers us brand new tools that help us explain patterns and fundamentals that cannot be understood by only studying the physical as science does. It sheds light on metaphysical questions that so far had to rely purely on believe. The meta- should be seen as a partner and an aid to other systems that explain (some of) our world. The minors below aim to break the break the boxes and integrate what thus far have been different worlds.

Meta and Science

Science traditionally finds it difficult to consider and discuss non-physical parts of life. Over recent decades, the academic world has begun to realise the importance of emotions in affecting the physical, and the importance of social interactions in affecting behaviour. In the meta-, we are adding an additional factor to consider.

This minor considers the different areas of the meta- as well as science in an honest but critical way. Most importantly, we ask "How can these fields help each other rather than oppose each other?"

Meta and Religion

What does your meta- process mean for your religious views? You already know that there is nothing religious about Elfpath, only spiritual. Spirituality can be found anywhere, by looking inside. Some find it through a religious institute, some prefer to find their own way, some do both, and all are perfectly valid.

This minor will show you the difference between spirituality and religion, the ins and outs of both, the ways and reasons they sometimes conflict, and how you can make them play nice together in your own life.

Mystics

All mystics speak of love.

If you dig deep enough on your spiritual path, you will eventually find the same truths that mystics from all over the world, from all religions, have found before you. This is because the most fundamental truths are simple, and universal.

Putting the words to it, however, is not always easy. The mystics who have come before us have shared with us their words, their vision, their way of approaching the same life questions as we do. Studying the work of mystics from different cultural and historical backgrounds helps us gain perspective in our process, and lets us learn from their wisdom.

This minor will make a distinction between different types of mystics: those who speak to the head and those who speak from the heart. You will learn to read and interpret not just their words, but their emotions and energies on multiple levels. Even if you are familiar with the work of mystics, you will learn a whole new appreciation.

The Meta-Intuitive Arts span a very wide area, all of which use intuition to find increased clarity and depth in life. Our regular program will already teach you all the intuitive tools you need to get to your goals and become something truly amazing. There are some really nice tools, however, that do not have a place in the main curriculum. That is where these minors come in.

They are more for entertainment and extra depth than for helping you along your path. Still, our students have asked to learn, and we love to teach them.

Dream Work

Your subconscious talks to you in your dreams. It processes events from the day, it sorts out fears and hopes you may have, impressions you picked up from your surroundings, and sometimes it does some more interesting and intuitive things.

If you are already dreaming vividly and would like to know what your subconscious is saying, or if any of it is more than just your subconscious translating life into metaphor, you may like this minor. If you don't remember dreams at all, though, and would like to - this minor will help you with that too. The minor is work intensive and will disrupt your sleep several times a night.

Dowsing Rods

Dowsing rods traditionally are used to find water in the desert. That's not the only thing they can be used for, though. They are an intuitive tool, with no magik in the material at all, working solely as a translating device for your own intuition.

It can be difficult at times to sort out and interpret intuitive impressions, especially when they are all inside. Dowsing rods bring them outside, where you can see them with your own eyes. They don't give you super powers or make you an oracle - they will only be as good and as reliable as your own intuition. But they can help make things easier, especially for younger belts. And they are fun.

Tarot

The Tarot is a very old divination tool used by many practitioners all over the world. There is nothing particularly magical about Tarot. It is simply a tool to let your own intuition talk to you - using metaphorical images that speak to the subconscious mind.

Tarot does not tell you what is going to happen in the future. That's not how it works. What it will do is give you perspecive on your own process, the place in life you are at, the lessons life is trying to teach you and which attitudes and approaches may help you with that.

This minor familiarises you with the Major and Minor Arcana. More importantly, it teaches you to sense on your own what energy each card holds, which deck would be good for you to use, and how to read and interpret what they are trying to tell you.

Intuitive Arts

Art is so expressive. Any art is an expression of the artist's subconscious and so of their intuitive side. Through art, we show the world - and ourselves - who we are, what we are feeling, what's going on inside. And through each medium, we express slightly differently, touch on different parts of our selves.

Art is an amazing way to get to know yourself better, and to express more clearly who you are and what you want to communicate. Sometimes it can even be a very useful tool to find inner pieces that you had consciously missed. Art can be a way to talk to yourself, and to hear others. We'll teach you how to.

Intuitive Play

Our school teaches the Easy, Light and Fun path. We are committed to making the meta- as much fun for you as possible, while at the same time being serious, focussed and goal-oriented. One of the best ways to have fun is through play. Through finding new and exciting ways to use your intuitive gifts, either alone or with others.

The Play minor teaches you a heap of new games you can play, new ways to use your sensing, sourcing and shaping gifts to bring you and others joy. Of course there will be plenty of playing during the minor itself. Our focus, however, will be on teaching you great way of thinking and using your gift. Teach a man how to fish, and he'll eat forever.

The Meta-Intuitive Arts are never a stand-alone practise. Eventually, you will learn to incorporate them into everything you do in life, simply because you are different because of them. You sense more accurately you act more confidently, you have more purpose and integrity. Those are the basics. Sometimes your life calls for something more targeted to your situation, to help you put the meta- to work for you.

The Meta for Life minors are little courses that help you integrate your meta- knowledge and skills into very specific areas of your life. You learn to use the meta- to get a richer and more successful experience in these areas. In addition to applying the basics to your life, this will give you an edge in the exactly the places in life you want to improve.

Success in work and study

Regardless of the line of work you are in, what you are studying and what plans for the future you have, the meta can help you do it better. It may not always be obvious how to, though. You're trained to work or study in a particular way, and sometimes you need some help stepping outside the box and trying a new approach.

To make sure that you get targeted help making you more successful in your particular line of work, this course is very personalised. We will tailor new intuitive methods to your goals, to ensure your success.

Beauty and Presentation

You're working on making your insides prettier, healthier, more stable -- but you're having trouble getting your outsides to reflect it. Or you find that you are here for a specific reason, some particular experience you want out of life, and you are finding it very difficult to express that and have people see the person you want them to see.

This minor will help you push your limits, step outside your comfort zones, and change the way you look, walk and talk. This one is for people who want to SEE the change they're working for, and who want others to see it. Not for the faint-hearted.

Movies and Media

Almost everyone watchies TV. Perhaps you're watching the news every day, perhaps you like to zonk out to movies at night when you're tired after work, or you watch shows online or with friends. Either way, you are getting exposed to lots of media on a daily basis. Are you getting the most out of it? What are these movies telling you? What is the media telling you? How do you know what to pay attention to and what to take with a grain of salt?

After this course, you will look at movies completely differently. You will have a much better mythological frame of reference, you will have more awareness of the details and subtleties in the movies, and you will be able to find important, wise, and funny references that will help you in your own intuitive process. You will find more relevance in the media, drop your biases, and have more fun.

Teaching and Counselling

All of our students learn an incredible lot about life. You're already understanding much better why others are doing what they do, what they are feeling, how to deal with difficulties in life, how to communicate honestly and get through problems. You have a lot to share, even if you have learned it in a relatively short time.

Many of our students come here already with a strong drive to help people. Others develop this drive during their process, or else they find they want to challenge themselves and try a new skill. Either way, we offer all of our students the chance to teach in our program. To help younger students, to offer advice, to make a difference.

NOTE: This specific course does not cost anything. We do ask that you commit to teaching at least 2 of our Introduction Courses afterwards. This will give you teaching experience and let you put your new skills into practise. And it will help out with our teaching load.

There are many things in life that most people are not aware of. You have learned already to become aware of things you had never noticed before, such as your own deeper emotions and the feelings or even thoughts of people around you. It is not such a long stretch that there might be other things you have not been aware of before.

The Extended Awareness minors challenge you to check your biases and believes at the door, to keep an open mind to new ideas, and to use your intellect and intuitive skills to decide for yourself what is what. Nothing is off limits here, but everything is considered carefully, critically and intuitively.

These minors are not for believers. They are for curious, intelligent people who are not afraid to entertain new ideas and choose their own views of the world based on their own research and perceptions.

Conspiracy Theories

What is to these crazy things that you keep hearing about and just don't really want to believe because it's just too far out there, it's too far a stretch of the imagination, too paranoid? Are they just crazy people entertaining a hobby that gives them some drama in their lives, or are all of our lives based on a lie? Is the truth here an extreme, or somewhere in the middle?

The Conspiracy Theories minor does not try to convince you to believe in any theories. We will expose you to some new ideas, and provide you with the reasoning behind it. We will open your mind to options, and help you to discern between fact and fantasy, fear and frolick. It is up to you to scan and decide which is which. Our only goal is that you start opening your eyes, looking around, and asking questions.

Non-Terrestrial Life

Are we alone? Is there life out there that is other than human? Logically, given the huge amount of stars and planets we can perceive from this planet, it seems likely.

If we are entertaining the possibility of non-terrestrial life, then, how would it work? What sorts of alien encounters are people reporting, and what do you sense behind these reports? What species of aliens might exist? Are they friendly? What's up with these crop circles, do they scan? How about abductions? And what about more ethereal beings? Are they real? Are they getting involved?

This minor will give you a good overview of potential aliens out there. We'll include pictures, first-hand reports, theories, from many different angles. By the end of this minor, you'll know what you're talking about, and you'll be able to carry an intelligent and well-founded conversation on the topic, based on your own research and senses. As always, whatever you end up believing is up to you.

Human Origins

Science has learned much about the evolutionary origins of humans over the course of our planet's history. Through fossil records, phylogeny and other genetic techniques, we've learned about our species' background. There are still many things science does not know, however. This is inherent to the nature of science. There are also several archeological finds that simply refuse to line up.

What's up with that? Are there other theories that are not getting the attention that perhaps they should? What can you scan about the origins about humans? How far are you willing to stretch your imagination, in order to consider where you come from?

Rather than "find the truth", we aim to give you a larger perspective than you will have learned in school. This course takes some maturity to follow, and some intuitive discernment.

Ancient Civilisations: Mu and Atlantis

In this minor, we focus specifically on two very mythical civilisations that have captured the imagination of people all over the world and all across history. There are disney movies about Atlantis, and whole TV shows. Mu is a little less known, but no less fascinating. Given how popular both of these lost civilisations are, there is precious little known about them, and most mythologies disagree.

As metas, you have a very special and new set of tools to learn more about the places in history that history itself does not know much about. We will spend a few weeks researching Mu and Atlantis, using more advanced intuitive techniques, as well as mythological research. At the conclusion of this minor, you will have an extensive idea of existing theories, and you will probably have formed some of your own. Either way you will have a lot of fun digging into possibilities of charming lost civilisations.
