Whispers says hello

Come say hi and meet new friends!

Whispers says hello

Postby Whispers » Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:35 am

Hi everyone,

Some of you probably already know me from other sites, I'm Whispers on UniFaction and Mistress of Whispers on DragonCave. I wasn't part of the original MAGI forum, but after talking to Rohaa I decided to try Elfpath.

Hello! I'm not on UniF, so I don't really know you yet, so I thought i'd say hello :)
I'm Annelien, head of the teaching bit of this forum. I'm 21 and a Belgian.

I think most people supress things like that when they grow up, much like you learnt to supress your imagination and wonder. We can try and open up to those gifts again, we'll try and help you! I used to have pretty bad migraines too, but they seem to have abated or at least gotten a lot less since I started doing some energy work, maybe that'll work for you too? with me it was related to stress and this reduced my stress as well. ^^.

I think we're all skeptic to begin with, but just keep an open mind and try not to judge beforehand, and I think you'll feel your horizons expand ^^ I know mine did!

Maybe you'd like to join our first classgroup when it starts in a bit? We can teach you some basics in there to unblock your energy and expand your horizons. :geek:

Hi Annelien, thanks for the welcome :).

I already pm-ed Rohaa about signing up for the intro-course. I wasn't sure who to contact, you or her, but the pm link in the sticky I read led to her profile so I went with that :).

My headaches have to do with my eyes. The reason I know it has to do with my eyes is because closing them alleviates the headache. But you try going through life without using your eyes, lol.

And no worries, if I wasn't ready to keep an open mind I wouldn't have signed up :).

Hi, Whispers, welcome to Elfpath! I hope you've been looking around and making yourself at home. The content may be a bit bare at the moment, but we are planning on changing that very soon. (Have you tried over-the-counter reading glasses? They come in different strengths so you should be able to find a pair that works well for you--I find though that the very cheap ones have faulty lenses, and will exacerbate the eyestrain, so its best to buy a pair that costs over--well, I dont know where you are from, so I'll just say 20 USD. I had problems like that till I gave in and got some reading glasses--but I take medication for the migraines ;) ) Meanwhile, we are all here for answering any questions you may have, so feel free to ask! (and, oh! I am also kattzyze on UniF/C! Look me up! )

Thanks Kattzyze! Yep, I've been looking around and getting a feel of the place :).

I already have glasses, but thank you for thinking with me <3.

I agree with you about violence and destruction seeming to be part of human nature. The way I have come to look at it, though, is that any source of great power has the propensity for great violence when it is unregulated, unguided, uncontrolled. Look at lightning - in the wild, it's terribly destructive, but channeled properly, it's an enormous source of electrical power.

That's a big part of what we're trying to do here. If you teach people and guide them into taking charge of their own power, they are far less likely to explode and take out their neighbors with them. :D

Hey Whispers, welcome!

Migraines are often a result of a block that causes energy to stagnate and pile up. Try taking a moment to really focus on your neck area, and visualise or feel energy moving from your 6th chakra, down your 5th and on to the rest of your body. If you find any resistance, don't force it, just gently let the energy wash over that block until it dissolves. You may have to repeat this a few times. Make sure you ground afterwards.

and allow yourself to have it.

I didn't realize you were Mistress of Whispers as well (I'm slow to read like that). Double welcome, then!

welcome whispers! i recognise you from Uni ^^

and its ok to be sceptic about human nature. it IS in our nature though, so we dont need to take a distance from it. we can however understand it and learn from it. that way you can foresee yourself using it and control it, learn why you would have used it and learn from that in turn. its a basic emotion we all posses, so why dont we all go and do something with it together, instead of using it against each other? ^^
that way youll eventually be able to dump the scepticism and be able to open up completely to all your imagination has to offer you, so that youll be able to regain those abilities youve lost and you might even be able to find new ones

(sorry for barging in like that, but i felt like saying something about it XD)
