First of all a confession:
I know many of the names here from UniFaction, but, being an insecure and rather anxious person, I thought I might be more open on here, if I chose a different username. I'm well aware I have no reason to hide, that's rather an issue of my own, and I'd appreciate it very much, if you could accept that.

I'm also one of those people that won't allow themselves happiness (or a better life, as in Rohaas Signature), there is a lot of stuff to resolve, and I'm not sure I'm even ready for classes yet, and even beyond that I'm afraid I might consume a lot of patience.

Concerning powers... well, I'm not too sure about actually having any, yet I always reacted strongly to wind, and very often had the strong impression that it's the same vice versa. Many a time I thought the wind had grown much stronger within minutes after I left the house, there were days when storms travelled with me (when I arrived it was often said that minutes before I got there the storm had arrived, yet where I started from, it had been stormy all day), the wind seemed to "play" with me, especially when I listened to music outside it seemed to synchronize, also very often the weather followed drastic changes of my mood.

With water it's a bit similar. While it isn't as moveable as the wind, I still feel like I can sense things from it. There is water I conceive of as... hostile (I mean normal drinking water, nothing poisonous in the common sense of the word), and water that makes me feel rather peaceful and/or refreshed... but it's too faint and seldom to say anything for sure....

And then there's people...
I don't have any empathic powers, but somehow often could feel when someone was hiding somethng, even if I didn't know them and had only just met them, and in situations where it couldn't have been their body language or mimic or even voices. I had such sensations when talking on the phone, writing messages online and talking from face to face.


Issue-laden as I am, I'm not sure if I'll really be able to make any progress on here, but I want to at least try, so thank you for the opportunity! n_n

Hey Serendipity,

On a deeper level, all of us have empathy, whether or not we have developed it and whether or not we recognise it when it's there. What you are describing sounds similar to Truth SCANing, a way to intuitively tell if someone is lying or not. It's a very useful skil, and we can definitely help you finetune it.

Of course you are issue-laden. And by knowing that, you already have a huge advantage over those who prefer to hide their problems (from others and from themselves) and refuse to look at them. Only by looking at them, acknowledging that they're there and being willing to change them can we ever free ourselves from them. And everyone who is willing can do this. You are very welcome here. If you would like to sign up for our Intro course, just let me know, and if you would like to get to know us a little bit better first, feel free to hang around the forum, read the journals, post around and talk to the rest. If you run into any problems, drop a note in Nightfall's counselling thread, and we'd be happy to help you.

I hope you will be able to shed your shells and walk freely again on the surface of this Earth . *hugs* I hope I am not scaring you off now but I would like to get to know you better, some of your problems seemed to sound familiar to my own. And no, wanting to know me better doesn't scare me away at all, actually I'm a very open person... well... when not in fear of burdening others with who I am. :/

Can't promise it will be today, but... infact I'm planning to reveal my whole life's history openly in this thread. ^^

Upon finding UniFaction, I had a very strong "home at last" feeling, and here it's just the same. Also I made a lot of progress in the past few months.
