Daylight savings

Please check that the forum clock is correct for you. If your country or region has recently switched to Daylight Savings Time, you will need to visit your User Control Panel and update your settings.

Here's how to make sure everything's correct:
1) Visit the front page and look at the clock on the left side. This is the one that says something like "It is currently Thu Mar 18, 2010 11:56 am"

2) If this time doesn't match what the time actually is for you right now, visit the user control panel. Make sure that:
a) "My timezone" is set to the correct timezone.
b) "Summer/DST is in effect" is set to yes if you recently put your clocks forward.

3) Visit the front page again and check that the clock on the left side is correct.

This will be very important soon, because class schedules which tell you when your classes are in your own time zone will be available soon. In order to give you the correct time, the system will check what your time zone is from your user control panel. So if the board has the time wrong, your schedule will be showing you the wrong times, as well.

Remember you can always double-check the current time in GMT by looking on the right side of the website near the top. This clock only uses the server time, it doesn't rely on any setting you've entered. Your class times will always be given as GMT, so you can always use this clock to verify when the correct time is.
