Scanning refers to a very important meta-intuitive tool created exclusively by our Elfpath guru Angel through decades of experience.

We have many beginning students who are still learning how to scan, and how to scan effectively. Practising is very important for this learning, and so we encourage any student from white belt on to get better at scanning simply by doing it a lot. There is almost nothing you can't scan. When students are starting out, they will get some intuitive impressions when scanning, but their hit rate will not yet be very good. That's ok. It will get better over time.
In addition, some people naturally have more sensitivity than others.
To distinguish between the trustworthiness of a young student's scan and an experienced student's scan, we use designated scan levels on a scale from 1-10, where 1 is a quick or surface scan that can be taken into account, but should not be relied upon, and where 10 is a deep, multi-vector scan done by a senser with a decade of experience.
