Grounding

When you are grounded, you are stable and more able to handle whatever might come your way. Grounding is useful to gain healthy energy and to release energy and emotions that you no longer need or that were not yours in the first place. Being connected to a healthy source of energy eliminates the need to get energy in unhealthy ways such as with control dramas. To ground you connect to the element of your choice.

  • Earth - Plant your feet solidly and imagine roots or anchors growing out of them into the earth. Send out the energy you are finished with, bring in the new energy.
  • Water - Imagine the things you want to be free of as dirt to be washed away.
  • Air - The wind can blow away the unwanted energies. Breathe in the healthy energies.
  • Fire - Imagine the sun or a flame burning away the energies that you no longer need, cleansing and replacing them with healthier energy. While all elements are potentially destructive, fire is especially so and should be used with caution.
