GCB is an exercise usually taught in the second intro class and it is a foundation technique that will continue to be useful as you progress farther in your classes.

G - Ground - Connect to your preferred element. Draw up clean healthy energy and release energy and emotions that you no longer need.

C - Center - Let your attention and your energy settle in your guts, three fingers below your navel.

B - Breathe - Take natural breaths by expanding your diaphragm and drawing air into the bottom portion of your lungs. If you hand is resting on your guts, you should feel the rise and fall of breathing there, not in your chest.

At first, you may need to practice these things separately. With practice you will be able to do them at the same time.
