Becoming human

What does it mean to be Human?

- It will be the beginning of, not just a golden age, but of a whole new level of human. They will look similar to current humans, but be as different within as current humans are from rabbits. [...] It will take some time to grow into these new abilities and even longer to move forward from there, but they will manage. Humans are waking up. They are becoming whatever is next.

In reaction to these words, some people were concerned that embarking on this journey of personal growth means we will no longer be human. The following is Angel's response to that.

Defining Humanity
Are you asking me to define "Human"? See human is biology, but it's sub-consciously cross-referenced to moral issues. Cruelty is called "in-human" and moral acts are called "humane." There is a bigotry that says that nature is cruel, animal's wild and only humans are "higher" minds, moral, righteous. Human history clearly puts the lie to this idea. Humans are the most destructive, violent, predatory, genocidal ... beings on the planet. And yet subconsciously they think that those things are "in-humane," not human.
So you can see the biological term is severely cross-threaded with emotional and moral ideas. It's biological, but it's also mental in the sense that many humans feel the need to be one greater than their contemporaries - be they human or otherwise. I ask again. Define what is human to you.
Fear Of Change
You express fear at the idea that you might not be human or might be evolving beyond human. Biologically you are human. Humanity in a state of evolution, so a changing biology, but still well in the middle of the pack. Spiritually? Humans have been in an egg. There have been only hints of movement, of growth, and a hard shell around that. That egg is hatching. Humans are becoming something very other. Will they still be humans after? Depends on how you define human. Are you human now? That depends on a lot of ideas. It's more a belief structure than an actual fact.
I hear the fear here. I understand it. Know this. You Are Safe. It's OK. When the first fish started to hang out on land, it was scary! They felt clumsy awkward, uncomfortable. They even forget to breathe sometimes. When humans first came down from the trees to the savannah, it was scary.... And this transition, into a whole new world of awareness, is also a bit intimidating. Know this: All of humanity is going through this same change. And most will see the results, even in this lifetime. We are not becoming strange and in-human. Rather, like a flower unfolding, we are at last becoming ourselves.
Some days it will hurt. Some times it's scary. Often you will not know what is the right path. We are entering a whole new phase of human history. We are helping to write the script as we go.
Waking Up In The Morning
If you are human now, you will still be human at the end of this, only more so. It is not always easy, but like puberty, the painful and messy places will lead to a whole new world of things to explore. It can be a dark and confusing road, but as it comes together, it’s so much more amazing than you have imagined. It’s a bit like waking up in the morning. You don't want to get out of the warm, safe bed.... but then you struggle awake, maybe have some coffee and a shower.... and walk out to the most beautiful day you can imagine.
The magic in a dream fades and is forgotten. The magic of a first kiss, falling in love, a child's smile, loving or being loved, swimming in a warm sea, dancing to music you enjoy... these memories only come on getting out of bed and getting busy. And they remain with you.
So it's not really so scary. And it'll be well worth the initial confusion and eye-rubbing of waking up. This isn't like waking up at the Ritz with room service waiting for you. It's more like waking up in a rough log cabin in the woods on an early Spring morning. Good Luck y'all. I wish you well.
