Christmas Workshop & Newyears Dinner

Postby Rohaa » Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:03 pm

As most of you know, we are organising a Christmas Workshop this year in the Netherlands. Christmas is often a very difficult time for intuitives, because people all over the world are feeling miserable. Either they are with family around Christmas, and then they have all the tension and difficulty that comes with being cooped up with a bunch of people who push your buttons or whom you really don't like, or they are alone with Christmas, and then they feel depressed and like a failure and often suicidal. There is lots of stress, sadness, arguing, self loathing, frustration... Intuitives tend to pick up on the emotions of the people around them, and are more vulnerable to this chaos.

To make Christmas this year easy and fun, we'll be celebrating it together, and following it up with a 3-day advanced workshop and a big end-of-year dinner. We have several of our international people flying in especially for this. There will be practical training, lots of fun, getting to know your meta-family and classmates face-to-face, and quality time with both me and, very specially, Angel. This is a unique opportunity, since Angel tends to move around a lot, and this may be your only chance to meet him and talk to him in person.

The event is free in principal, because we understand that plane tickets are a trouble already, but I would like to encourage everyone to donate where possible. It is a huge time and energy investment for me and Angel, it's absolutely exhausting, and anywhere else, an intensive workshop like this would costs thousands of dollars.

We have quite a decent sized intuitive library by now, so don't worry about bringing reading material no matter how many days you want to stay. Some are on meta-techniques like seeing auras, some are simply novels, some are a little fringe. You're welcome to peruse any of these, providing you keep them in one piece.

During the event, you'll be expected to feed yourself. There is a supermarket across the street, and you're welcome to fridge and shelf space to store things. If you don't mind airmattresses on the floor, we will provide housing. If money for dinner/minors is a problem, get over your pride and ask your fellow students who are less in a pinch to help you out, they'll be happy to. Only Green Belts get to stay in the house with me and Angel. Only Yellow Belts and higher get to attend the workshop. If you're not a Yellow Belt yet, get on it.

On to the program.

CHRISTMAS: December 25-26

Some will want to spend Christmas itself with family, or have obligations they feel they can't get out of. For the rest, they are very welcome to spend the days with us. The program for these days is loose, and will focus mostly on getting to know each other, shopping, getting personal help and advice where needed, and generally relaxing with your chosen family. This is a great time to work on the EP projects some of you have been talking about.

WORKSHOP: December 27-28-29

We've a very intense program for these days, though it is not very scheduled out. We'll attempt to cram in as many practical exercises as possible, help you train your senses and compare what you get with other intuitives so you can see for yourself that you are not, in fact, making things up. We'll take you on little field trips to watch people, sense lay lines and talk to nature. We'll teach you how to put healthy energy in food, to scan what is appropriate for you to eat (or wear), to art intuitively, to step in power, to work with an intuitive team. After this workshop, MIRL (Meta-in-real-life) will not be a problem anymore.

If there is time and interest, we will also spend time on teaching you how to be a better teacher, how to do readings for others either in an Elfpath context or for strangers, and we'll team meetings to brainstorm ideas for the future of Elfpath.

If enough peope sign up (at least 4), we will be working with Dowsing Rods in this workshop. I highly recommend this as a way to visualise your scans, to get a clear and obvious read on something, to find auras and energy fields, and to generally be amazed at how this really WORKS. Costs for this course, incl. a set of Dowsing Rods made and tuned by Angel himself, will be E40. For E15, you can order extra sets of Dowsing Rods to bring home to your friends and family. They may make great holiday presents, and we'll do our best to provide shiny pouches for them. You will have to let us know at least 2 weeks in advance how many you want, so we can get them made. People who are not coming but live in the US can ask some of their US classmates to stock up and send them when they're back home. Organise this amongst yourself. We'll train those ppl in the use of their Dowsing Rods through the online course.

There will also be the chance to follow one or two of our other Minors of your choice during the workshop or in the days after. If you are interested in doing a workshop in person, find 5 or 6 people who want the same and who are there at the same time you are. Payment for a personal workshop is the same as its online equivalent. It might be a convenient way to cram more Minors into our schedule.

DINNER: December 29

Open to anyone who is interested. We'll likely find an affordable place in town, and close off our Christmas Workshop with all students who attended it. This dinner is open to our local White Belts as well, regardless of if they have started Intro Course yet. Family, friends, neighbours and other interested people are very welcome, this will be a great chance to meet almost our entire teacher team, to see for yourself the things everyone has learned, to ask questions about our program or get some personalised help.

If there is interest, we'll provide quick readings for E5 for anyone an Elfpath student brings along. Costs for dinner are obviously your own. We could use someone local to help organise this dinner, spread the word to all our Dutch students, and generate local interest. You can volunteer and/or brainstorm in this thread.

Please sign up in this thread if you want to come to the dinner, and how many people you are bringing.

AFTERMATH

Anyone who wants to stay after the dinner is welcome to do so. You can use this time to simply enjoy the company of your friends a little longer, to re-fine the skills you learned in the workshop, to finish up on projects you've been working on, or to see something of the country. I'll personally have time until New Years and perhaps a day or two into 2011.

After that, those who want might team up and go see something of the country or of Europe at large, since you're here anyway. If you are organising it with several people together, you will likely be able to cut costs quite a bit. Find a local student with a car (or rent one. The car, not the student) and some time, and you're already halfway on route to travelling cheap. Let us know how much after New Years you want to stay, and if you want to spend the time to explore. If people are interested, we could again use a volunteer to organise.

I'm game for everything. Just not sure if i can actually pay for the minors. I should have money by then, but you know how well bank cards agree with me. Also, not bringing anyone but my awesome self ^^;
Just one Q.. if youve already got some rods, is it E25 then for the dowsing course?

I'll be there for the workshop and the dinner (that's on the 29th as well, right?) and either get back home the evening of 29th or the morning of 30th depending on plans etc.
I'd sign up on the Facebook thing but it keeps saying page not found.

Put me down for dowsing rods too, please. I might be around for a bit of the aftermath, depending on what's decided for it. I'm leaving at 2:10pm on the 30th, so I probably won't have time for everything. Incidentally, I'll probably need a ride to the train station then too. ^^;;

Everyone coming for Christmas and/or the workshop, could you tell us something in this thread about the totem(s) you've worked with most and that you feel are very close to you at the moment?

In addition, I'd really like to ask for a small fee for the workshop itself, as some activities simply require some preparation and materials. If everyone who is coming for the workshop could pay us E30 in advance (E10 for each day) purely for materials, that would help organisation a lot. Lenihan has some fun ideas to get you all started on the creative process, and we've some other great options in mind, but we can't really get started on it until we can...afford it. If we have any money leftover from this, we'll put it towards the projects you guys were talking about organising. For foreign people, you might ask some of the Dutch folk to cover for you and pay them back when you get here.

After the event(s), we'll put up a jar for donations to Angel and me for all the time and effort we put into this workshop. If you expect us to give you something valuable during these days, you may want to set aside a bit of your funds for that. Donations will be anonymous, voluntary, and entirely dependent on how much you can afford and how much you feel this has been worth to you and your process.

***

Angel asked me to let you know that you are all welcome to bring any cameras, video cameras or audio recorders you like, and record what he says so you can watch/listen to it later. We also have a good quality recorder available ourselves, so if you can't bring your own, don't worry, we'll share recordings later - but we may not catch everything.

For me that would be my Rhino. I'm still trying to tap into its full energies, and discovering what it embodies. I haven't found any other basetone totems yet.
May the Force be with you.

I been attempting to work with Seagull and Giraffe more. In one of my alternate you write ups, I felt so much at home with the Giraffes compared to Seagull but they were both awesome either way. Do realize I need to talk to them more directly.

Edit - should mention Wild Boar but haven't done much with her at all. .__.;
