Today a title of a book just popped up into my mind: Catcher in the Rye. I started googling it and here is what I found. A summary of the story. It is very related to Elfpath.

I see a lot of children who are playing a game in a huge rye field. Thousands of little children and nobody is there - no adults I mean - except for me. And I am standing there on the edge of a cliff. And what I have to do is catch the kids when they tend to fall off the cliff – so when they are running and don’t see where they are running to, I have to show up somewhere and catch them. That is the only thing I want to do the whole day. So I was the catcher in the rye. I know it is insane, but it is the only thing I would really want. I know it is insane.
