We are at the start of a new period in the history of our planet. For the last two-thousand years or so, the world has been goverened by energies that some have called the age of pisces. During this time, humanity has done some great things. We have found rational explanations for the world around us, made great advances in the ways of technology, communication and space exploration. But there has also been much suffering, religious intolerance, war. Somewhere along the road, we lost touch with an important part of ourselves.

Recently, this has begun to change. New energies have started to come into our planet. These energies are very strong and moving fast - perhaps you have already felt them. They are moving through each and every one of us, hightening our sensitivity, increasing our empathy, and facilitating changes in our lives. With the arrival of these new energies, we will be able to do so much more than we ever thought possible. We can bring out amazing gifts that until now have been hidden and break through the problems that have been holding us back, not just on a personal, but on a global level. Empathy is already spreading. Gifts are emerging left and right. People are advancing on the path of awareness in months where before, the same process took decades. It it still speeding up. A few years from now, who knows what will be possible?

Changing from one phase in our planetary development into another is not always easy. It can be very confusing and frightening. Most people don't like change. Even though we may have problems and be unhappy, it is still easier to stay in our comfort zone, where everything we know is familiar. This shift has knocked many of us out of our comfort zone. People have lost their jobs and have been unable to find new ones despite their efforts, or have found themselves losing friends and things they care about. It takes us out of our old patterns so that we are free again to change. On a personal level, many of us are feeling angry or scared. Old issues may resurface stronger than before.

The energies that are moving into our planet are not in themselves good or evil. Imagine a lot of rain pouring into a stream. If the stream has been there for a while, it will have made for itself a river bed that contains its flow and corresponds to the size of the stream. There may be rocks in in, but the water can easily flow past it without causing too much upheavel. Now if a storm comes by (and to me, this shift feels very much like an energy storm), much more will suddenly be added to the stream, and the stream will grow. The river bed will no longer be big enough to hold it, and whatever rocks were in it will find themselves being hit by a massive amount of water. They are in the way. If enough water pours into the river, it may outgrow its old river bed and change it course, shaping a new river bed into the landscape to hold it. This, I believe, is what currently happening to our world.

It is not something to fear, or to resist. The problems we are experiencing are simply a result of more energy moving through the same pathways, and thus hitting resistance and blocks harder than before. Consider it an opportunity, a chance to find the things that have been making us less than we are and to remove them. You are not alone in this. Many have been waking up over the last several years, come to help the world and her people through this change. It is likely you are one of them. This time has been predicted for a thousands of years, by many ancient cultures, prophecies, and channeled work. For a long time, all the signs have been saying, "Wait. Not yet." Now they are saying "Yes. Move." If you reach out and touch this storm, you will feel it for yourself. This is an amazing time to be alive. What we have been waiting for these many years is finally there. It is time. It is finally time.

There is an old Hopi prophecy that conveys the message beautifully.

"To my fellow swimmers:
There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift,
that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore,
they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.
Know that the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore,
push off into the middle of the river,
keep our heads above water.
And I say see who is there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history,
we are to take nothing personally,
least of all ourselves,
for the moment that we do,
our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over.
Gather yourselves.
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done
in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we have been waiting for."
